Channel Catfish

Ole whiskers, as Ernie Gibbs would say, is a fish of desire and character. You can have fun training catfish to accept food and grow them fish story size.

Channel catfish possess very keen senses of smell and taste. Catfish less than 4 inches in length feed primarily on small insects or fish food. Adults are largely omnivorous, feeding on insects, mollusks, frogs, crustaceans, and smaller fish.

They will also readily eat fish food such as our Melick floating fish food pellets.
