Pond Aeration

Proper oxygen levels in your pond or lake is vital to a ponds success.

Diffused aeration involves pushing air to the bottom of the pond or lake and through a diffuser pad releasing fine bubbles that rise to the surface. As the bubbles rise they mix poorly oxygenated waters from the bottom with higher oxygen-rich waters above. Mixing through the water column or destratifying creates a healthier pond by replenishing oxygen to where it is most needed to break down wastes.

How much aeration you will need will depend upon your organic load at the bottom as well as size and maximum depth of your lake or pond.
